When I was a child, I am now 65, we grew everything we ate and we only traded our eggs at the store for sugar and coffee.  My dad would fish and my mother would can the fish.  People frown on canning meat but I don't understand why because a can of tuna is a canned meat.  I would sneek to the cellar and get a pint of fish and open it and eat it out of the can.  I wish I had access to fresh fish to can.

As I get older, I think I am much wiser.  I may be a little old fashioned but I am very picky about dressing kids.  It feels really ugh to me when I see a baby or a small child dressed like a grown-up.  Baby boys in a man’s button up shirt, why?  They have plenty of time to wear these kinds of clothes.  Why not let baby boys and baby girls be babies?  

I enjoy offering a range of smocked clothing that is upscale boutique, inspiring and affordable.  Embroidered children’s clothing, smocked clothing and appliqué clothing are very sweet looking clothes.  A baby that is dressed in this kind of clothing is truly delightful and sweet.  I don’t think they need to wear tight jeans, leopard prints and fur or leather vests when they are toddlers.  There is plenty of time in their lives for the trendy clothes and glamour and glitz.  This is only my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. 

I love colorful and fun clothes on my grandchildren.  Applique , especially Christmas appliqué is traditional attire.  Shopping for babies can be so much fun especially designer babies.  Babywear for birthdays is so versatile and enticing.  Sometimes you just can’t resist a purchase even though your child has plenty of clothes. 

Our baby boys love colorful shorts and t shirts.  Our girls love jumpers and girl capri with appliqué and embroidery.

Kids need to be kids and they need someone to guide their fashion taste to their benefit.  We love being able to offer great boutique childrens clothing to mothers and their children.

Matching brother-sister clothing is all the rage.  What is the saying, everything that is old is new? That certainly seems to be true in fashion for kids, especially boutique children’s clothing.  I have lived long enough to watch a couple of rounds in fashion.

This baby girl and baby boy is a prime example of the cute outfits that are available from children’s clothing boutiques.  These brother-sister outfits are handmade smocked dresses and john johns to match in a blue gingham check and smocked in red whales.  This is perfect for the 4^th of July for color and can be worn after the fourth for other occasions.

Handmade smocking is made by cottage workers who make their living from contract labor in the childrens boutique clothing industry. 

Every mother seems to constantly be looking for ways to renew the wardrobe of their babies and children including baby boy, baby girl, kid boy and kid girl.  Mothers always want their kids to look good and even better than themselves for any occasion.

Brand names are important to some mothers but to others, as long as it is a cute outfit, any fashion for kids is acceptable.

                                                 Fashion for Spring

Fashion for spring usually consists of sleeveless bishop dresses and matching boy bubble, sun suit or john johns.  Brother-sister clothing can be in many forms.  Sometimes it is twins with matching baby bubbles, sometimes it can be girls with matching short sets or girls capri.  Usually, it you are dressing baby girls,  kid girls, there will be a matching hair bow and sometimes shoes.  For boys, anything is ok.  Bare foot is even acceptable and very cute.

Matching sister-sister, brother-brother, or brother sister clothing are the perfect childrens boutique clothing item for a family picture.  Kids are their cutest from about 1 year old to 7 or 8.  This is the time that parents tend to take more pictures of their children.

These kinds of smocked dresses and smocked dress clothing especially bishop dress is more likely to be worn for special occasions such as church suite, birthday party as holiday fashion for the holiday season.  Smocked baby clothes are very popular with grandmothers.  Lots of baby boomer grandmothers dressed their babies in these kind of brother sister clothes, cute little boy bubble or girl bubble and they want their grandchildren to have the same look.  Maybe they are reliving having their babies by seeing their grand baby in these kinds of clothes. 

Fall Fashion                                                                                     How do you dress your child for fall?

No doubt, fall fashion will be made up of different fabrics for fall holiday clothing.  Lots of wholesale children’s clothing manufacturers use a light weight corduroy for fall clothing.  Most light weight fabrics just will not keep the baby girl or baby boy as warm as mothers would like.  There are heavier weight dress fabrics such as twill and baby cord.  A fall preview will be shown around the beginning of September.  You will start to see the baby boutique start to bring in their new fall clothing.  Many women are very passionate about dressing their child warmly. Lots of essential accessories for the winter are hats, gloves and scarfs.  These can be handmade and exquisite or a less expensive and accessorized from a department store.  Lower temperatures and cold snaps seem to bring about a complete wardrobe change.  In times of snow and cold weather, it is necessary for a very warm coat for your child. Sometimes young children under a year old are just wrapped in blankets.

No matter which looks for fall or girls summer clothes you choose, there are matching brother clothes or brother-sister or sister-sister clothing, you will find that for any time, any season or any special occasion, you will be able to dress your child to match either from online retailers or a local baby boutique or kids store.
